MENA Market Report 3rd of June 2019

MENA stock markets closed Monday’s session mostly higher, as Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Egypt stocks rose, while Bahrain stocks were little changed.

Bahraini shares were little changed on Monday, where the main index BAX fell 0.04 percent to settle at 1434.624 pressured by a slight underperformance in the Financial sector.

Meanwhile, Qatari equities ended today’s trading session in the green, where the primary benchmark (QSI) rose by 1.49 percent to settle at 10319.33 boosted by the significant improvement in the Financials, Basic Materials, and Energy sectors.

Regarding oil news, Oil prices stabilized on Monday, giving up most of their early gains, after data showed a decline in U.S. Manufacturing activity to its lowest level in 30 months.

Brent crude futures were up $1.08 and traded at $62.14 per barrel around 10:00 GMT.

U.S. WTI crude futures were up $0.72 and traded at $53.96 per barrel around 10:00 GMT.


Saudi Stocks Exchange:

Saudi stocks finished Monday’s session higher, where the primary index TASI rose by 1.22 percent or 102.6 points to settle at 8516.48 supported by gains in most of the sectors especially Industrials, Basic Materials, and Telecommunications sectors.

In stocks news, Middle East Specialized Cables Company SJSC was the top performer of today's trading session after adding 9.89 percent. On the other hand, Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co SJSC was the worst performer of the session as its stock fell by 1.75 percent.


United Arab Emirates Stock Market:

United Arab Emirates' shares finished Monday’s trading session in green territories.

Abu Dhabi equities rose on today's trading session, where Abu Dhabi's leading benchmark ADI rose by 2.82 percent to close at 5003.586 supported by gains in Telecommunications Services, Financials, and Consumer Non-Cyclicals sectors.

In stock news, International Holding Company PJSC was the best performer during the session adding 4.87 percent. On the other hand, Fujairah Building Industries Co PSC was the worst performer of the session as it tumbled by 9.24 percent.

In Dubai, the main index DFM advanced on today’s trading session, helped by the improvement in Consumer Cyclicals, Industrials, Utilities, and Financials Sectors.

In stocks news, Dar Al Takaful PJSC was the top performer in the session adding 5.8 percent, while Mashreqbank PSC was the worst performer as it fell by 2.42 percent.


Egypt Stock Market:

Egypt's leading benchmark EGX30 rose by 0.7 percent on Monday, to settle at 13787.8 boosted by gains in most of the sectors, especially Telecommunications Services, Industrials, and Consumer Cyclicals sectors.

In stock news, Madinet Nasr for Housing and Development SAE was the best performer advancing by 5.78 percent, while Sarwa Capital Holding for Financial Investments SAE was the worst performer of the session as it fell by 4.84 percent.
