MENA stock markets were mixed on Wednesday’s session, as TASI, BAX and EGX30 finished the session lower, while Real estate shares boost Dubai Index.
Bahraini shares fell on today’s session, where the main index BAX tumbled by 0.43 percent or 6.596 points to settle at 1,515.699 due to the losses in Financials and Industrials sectors.
On the other hand, Qatari equities ended today’s trading session in the green as the primary benchmark QSI rose by 0.37 percent to close the session at 10,549.750 due to the gains in the Telecommunications Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors.
Regarding oil news, Oil prices fell on Wednesday, as the U.S. WTI crude futures were lower to trade at 56.69 USD per barrel around 16:30 GMT. Brent crude futures were also lower to trade at 64.15 USD per barrel around 16:30 GMT.
Saudi Stocks Exchange:
Saudi Arabia's stock market fell on Wednesday as the primary index TASI fell by 0.12 percent or 10.32 points to settle at 8,785.74 due to the losses in Technology Healthcare and Energy sectors.
In stocks news, Umm Al Qura Cement Company SJSC was the best performer in the session, which added 5.36 percent or 0.82 points to end at 16.12 — followed by City Cement Company CJSC, which rose by 3.69 percent.
On the other hand, Al Sorayai Trading and Industrial Group Company SJSC was the worst performer in the session, which dropped by 9.90 percent, followed by Saudi Arabian Refineries Company SJSC, which tumbled by 6.17 percent.
United Arab Emirates' shares settled in today’s trading session in the green as both Abu Dhabi shares and Dubai ended higher.
Abu Dhabi equities rose on today's trading session, where Abu Dhabi's leading benchmark ADI gained 0.25 percent or 13.149 points to end at 5,357.012 supported by the gains in all sectors except for Telecommunications Services that fell by 0.34 percent.
In stock news, International Holding Company PJSC was today’s best performer, as the stock boosted by almost 15 percent to end the session higher. On the other hand, National Bank of Ras Al Khaimah PSC was the worst performer in today session as the stock fell by 1.05 percent to settle in the red.
In Dubai, the main index DFM rose on today’s trading session, gaining 0.82 percent or 32.21 points to end the session at 2,855.74 supported by the gains in Financials, Consumer Cyclicals and Industrials sectors.
In stocks news, Dubai Financials Market PJSC was the best performer today as the stock rose by 7.56 percent to finish the session in the green. Meanwhile, Islamic Arab Insurance Co PJC fell by 0.87 percent.
In stock news, Juhayna Food Industries SAE was the best performer in Today session, which added 3.43 percent. While Palm Hills Developments Company SAE was the worst performer in the session, which dropped by 4.15 percent.
