After Apple Inc. reported that the new generation of iPhone which will be launched this year, will use slower download speed modem chips compared with other smartphones, investors started to sell their tech stocks and this led the European stocks and tech stocks to close lower on Monday.
As the losses generated by Industrial Metals & Mining, Software & computer services and Industrial Engineering sectors, U,K equities were lower on Monday, Where FTSE 100 declined by 0.2% to close at 7511.87.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE100 were Capita PLC, which rose 3.19% to trade at 550.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Berkeley Group Hldgs added 2.10% to end at 3158.00 and Johnson Matthey PLC was up 2.04% at 3045.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fresnillo PLC, which fell 4.87% to trade at 1641.00 at the close. Micro Focus International declined 3.80% to end at 2404.00 and Randgold Resources Ltd was down 1.91% at 7455.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the London Stock Exchange by 1275 to 689 and 414 ended unchanged.
Due to the losses generated by Technology, Software and retail sectors, Germany’s equity were lower on Monday. Where DAX declined by 0.98% to close at 12690.44.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N., which rose 1.70% to trade at 134.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas AG added 1.41% to end at 172.40 and Heidelbergcement AG O.N. was up 0.78% at 85.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N., which fell 4.83% points to trade at 19.400 at the close. SAP SE declined 3.58% to end at 92.560 and Siemens AG was down 2.43% at 126.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 527 to 211 and 23 ended unchanged.
Due to the losses generated by Technology, Utilities and Healthcare sectors, France equity were lower on Monday. Where CAC 40 declined by 1.12% to close at 5240.59.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Renault SA, which rose 2.25% to trade at 86.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Orange SA added 1.31% to end at 15.06 and TechnipFMC PLC was up 1.27% at 25.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Atos SE, which fell 4.55% to trade at 124.80 at the close. Schneider Electric SE declined 2.15% to end at 67.44 and Societe Generale was down 2.14% to 46.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 391 to 209 and 104 ended unchanged.
