European equities closed the Wednesday Session in the green supported by the gains in the home builder and software stocks and with a series of companies’ announcements in the region, where the deal of $4 million pushed Reckitt Benckiser Group PLC higher.
The best performer sector is Technology, where Technology’s stock rose by more than 2%. In the UK, Reckitt Benckiser group stock increased by more than 1% after they announced that they would sell its business of food to McCormick by 4.2billion Dollars. However, QinetiQ was the worst performance in the region as its stock dropped by 9.5% after the had reported they missed new order estimates.
Francois Villeroy de Galhau, the policy maker of ECB, reported on Wednesday that, Eurozone still needs for loose monetary policy; even though the ECB helped the inflation to reach the target level at 2%.
On the economic side, ECB reported that European House price index rose by 4.0% in the first quarter higher than the last quarter of 2016 by 0.4%.
Due to the gains generated by Software & Computer Services, Household Goods & Home Construction, and Automobiles & Parts, UK’s equities closed the Wednesday’s session in the green. FTSE 100 rose by 0.55% at 7,430.91.
Rising Stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 21, while only 2 shares remained flat.
The best performers on the FTSE 100 are Sage Group PLC who rose by 2.68% to end at 676.56, while Barratt Developments PLC gained 2.44% to settle at 600.03 and Persimmon PLC ending 2.35% higher to last trade at 2,43.91.
The worst performers on the FTSE 100 are, Royal Mail PLC that tumbled by 2.75% to trade at 400.25. Meanwhile, Paddy Power Betfair PLC dropped 2.06% or 160 points to last trade at 7,633.70 and Kingfisher PLC ending the session 1.62% lower at 301.72.
German equities market ended the session in the green; Equities were helped by rising in the Technology, Software and Telecoms sectors. German benchmark DAX 30 rose by 0.17% to settle higher at 12,452.05.
Rising Stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13, while only 3 shares remained flat.
The best performers on the DAX 30 are, Infineon Technologies AG which fell 1.76%, followed by SAP SE who dropped 1.67% and Bayer AG lost by 1.09%.
The worst performers on the DAX 30 are Commerzbank AG that fell by 2.81%, Meanwhile Siemens AG lost 1.14%, and Deutsche Boerse AG is ending 0.76% lower.
Moreover, the French stock market also rose in Wednesday session French shares supported by the gains in Basic Materials, Technology and Utility sectors led equities upwards. French benchmark CAC40 rose by 0.83% to settle at 5,216.
Today on the French benchmark the losers outweighed the gainers with 35 losers, 4 gainers, and 1 shares remained unchanged.
The best performers on the CAC 40 were, ArcelorMittal SA that rose by 2.55%, followed by Engine SA that gained 2.33% and Nokia Oyj ended the session 2.07% higher.
The worst performers on the CAC40 are Carrefour SA that fell by 2.03%. Meanwhile, Sanofi SA lost 0.42% and Lafargeholcim Ltd ending 0.25% lower.
