Voting day in the December general election is tomorrow, Thursday Dec 12, which comes six weeks after the chaotic Brexit negotiations in Westminster led MPs to back Boris Johnson's call for a vote on Oct 29.

The Government needs at least 318 votes to win, but as the Conservatives are ruling without a majority, they will need to secure support from opposition parties to pass the deal.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party has vowed to take Britain out of the European Union on Jan. 31.

The pound climbed to a seven-month high today to reach 1.32132; as traders grew hopeful that the Conservatives would gain a majority at the upcoming General Election, bringing some certainty to the Brexit process.

Regardless of whether the deal passes or not, the markets may potentially have a massive jump of volatility in either direction.
