Asian stocks were mixed on Monday.
The mainland Chinese markets finished today’s session lower. The Shanghai Composite fell by 0.02 percent to settle at 3,030.75 pressured by the losses in Financials, Industrials, and Consumer Non-Cyclicals sectors.
Hong Kong’s main index Hang Seng was fell on today’s session and settled at 27,124.55, as losses from Healthcare and Consumer Cyclicals sectors have weighted on the shares.
Meanwhile, South Korea main index (Kospi) rose by 0.64 percent on Monday’s session, helped by an improvement in multiple sectors, especially in Industrials, Financials, and Energy sectors to end the session at 2,062.22.
Japanese Stock Market:
Japanese stocks surged on Monday, as the primary index Nikkie 225 finished the session at 21,988.29 boosted by all sectors.
In stocks news, Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd was the best performer in today’s trading session, as its share rose by 5.24 percent, while Ltd was the worst performer and ended the session 3.6 percent lower.
In the Forex pace, the Japanese Yen rose against the Greenback and traded at 107.837 at 13:00 GMT.
Australian Stock Market:
Australia’s S&P/ASX200 index rose on Monday’s and finished the session at 6,673.50, boosted by the gains in Technology, Basic Materials and Consumer Non-Cyclicals.
In stocks news, Bellamy's Australia Ltd was the best performer of the session as the share advanced by 54.93 percent, while Sims Metal Management Ltd was the worst performer after its share dropped by 13.29 percent.
In the Forex market, the Aussie fell against its U.S. counterpart to trade at 0.68710 at 13:00 GMT.
