MENA shares were mixed on Monday’s session. Saudi Arabia, and Qatar stock markets rose, while Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain stock market fell.
Bahraini shares fell on Monday, where the main index BAX fell slightly by 0.07 percent to settle at 1,529.324. The Consumer Cyclicals sector was the top-performing sector, while the Telecommunications Services sector was the worst-performing sector.
In Qatar, Qatari equities ended today’s trading session in the green, as the primary benchmark QSI added 0.24 percent to finish the session at 9,806.13 boosted by the gains in the Healthcare, Financials, and Industrials sectors.
Regarding oil news, U.S. Crude oil rose on Monday to trade at $56.30 a barrel at 20:40 GMT while Brent oil rose to trade at $59.79 a barrel.
Saudi Stocks Exchange:
Saudi Arabia's stocks edged higher on Monday. Saudi Arabia Main index (TASI) rose by 0.45 percent and finished the session at 8,565.79 helped by the improvement in multiple sectors, especially the Telecoms, Basic Materials, and Utilities sectors.
In stocks news, Saudi Arabian Amiantit Company SJSC was the best performer in the session after it’s share rose by 6.32 percent. On the other hand, Al Yamamah Steel Industries Company CJSC was the worst performer of the session after its share slipped by 3.44 percent.
United Arab Emirates Stock Market:
United Arab Emirates' shares were lower on Monday’s session.
Abu Dhabi equities finished today's trading session in the red, where Abu Dhabi's leading benchmark ADI fell by 0.23 percent to settle at 5,027.62 pressured by losses in Utilities, Telecommunications Services, and Consumer Cyclicals sectors.
In stock news, International Holding Company PJSC was the best performer in the session, after its share rose by 13.12 percent, while Arkan Building Materials Company PJSC was the worst performer after its share tumbled by 6.25 percent.
In Dubai, the main index DFM dropped by 0.22 percent to settle at 2,790.71 pressured by the losses in the Consumer Cyclicals and Financials sectors.
In stocks news, Aramex PJSC was the best performer as the share rose by 1.94 percent, while DXB Entertainments PJSC was the worst performer as the stock fell by 2.13 percent.
Egypt Stock Market:
Egypt's leading benchmark EGX30 fell by 0.66 percent on Monday’s trading session, Egyptian blue chips finished the session at 14,304.37.
In stock news, Palm Hills Developments Company SAE surged by 3.85 percent, followed by Heliopolis Co for Housing and Development SAE share that rose by 3.39 percent.
