• Saudi Arabia Stock Market
Saudi equities settled lower led by the losses in the Energy, Consumer Cyclicals and Basic Materials sectors, with Saudi Arabia’s stock market index closing at 6,933.36 down from 6,964.83 marginally above the session’s low.
Today’s losers significantly outnumbered the gainers by 93 shares, with 128 losers, 35 gainers and 13 unchanged.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share Index were, Al Andalus Property Co SJSC that rose by 4.17% or 0.96 points to trade at 23.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Al Hammadi Co added 3.56% or 1.40 points to end at 40.75 and ACE Arabia Cooperative Insurance was up by 2.91% or 1.30 points to 45.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share Index were, AlJazira Mawten REIT that fell by 4.00% or 0.76 points to trade at 18.22 at the close. Saudi Fisheries Co. declined by 4.00% or 1.15 points to end at 27.60 and Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication was down 3.37% or 0.300 points to 8.600.
• United Arab Emirates Stock Market
The heavy losses in Energy, Consumer Non-Cyclicals and Utilities sectors weighted on the United Arab Emirates stock market, while gains in Healthcare, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors lent support to the equities.
Dubai Financial Market General Index rose by 0.15 percent to close at 3,322.35 and Abu Dhabi Exchange General Index fell by 0.54 percent to settle at 4,460.30 in a mixed trading session.
Rising stocks outnumbered the losers on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 17 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged; while on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 16 declined and 2 advanced, while 6 ended unchanged.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General Index were, Dubai Financial Market PJSC which rose 5.56% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Dubai Investments PJSC added 3.38% or 0.070 points to end at 2.140 and Gulf General Investments Company was up 1.62% or 0.006 points to 0.376 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session on the DFM General Index were Takaful Emarat PSC which fell 2.55% or 0.060 points to trade at 2.290 at the close. National Central Cooling Co. declined 1.57% or 0.030 points to end at 1.880 and Emaar Properties PJSC was down 1.41% or 0.100 points to 7.000.
On the other hand, the best performers of the session on the Abu Dhabi Exchange General Index were, Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC which rose 2.94% to 0.7000, Aldar Properti which was up 1.80% to settle at 2.260 and Finance House which unchanged 0.00% to close at 1.600.
The worst performers of the session on the Abu Dhabi Exchange General Index were, Em Driving Co which was down 7.22% to 9.00 in late trade, Dana Gas which lost 2.13% to settle at 0.460 and Eshraq Properties Co PJSC which was down 1.87% to 1.0500 at the close.
• Egypt Stock Market
Despite the heavy losses in the Consumer Non-Cyclicals sector, the gains in the Financials sector led the Egyptian stock market higher after witnessing relatively high gains in the early parts of the session.
The Egyptian stock market index EGX30 was up 0.79 percent or 106.67 points to end at 13626.80 achieving a new all-time high.
Today’s gainers outnumbered the losers by 15 to 11 with 4 shares left unchanged.
The best performers of the session on the EGX 30 were, Amer Group Holding Co SAE that rose by 5.88% to end the session at 0.36, Credit Agricole Egypt SAE added 4.32 percent or 1.78 points to settle at 43.00 and Pioneers Holding Company for Financial Investments SAE was up by 3.19 percent to trade at 9.05 at the close.
The worst performers of the session on the EGX 30 were, Eastern Co SAE shedding by 4.45 percent or 11.79 point to trade at 253.01, followed Egyptian Iron and Steel Co SAE dropping 2.44 percent or 0.11 points to end at 4.39 and Orascom Construction Ltd ended 1.41 percent lower to settle at 118.51
